Aurora Family In Search Of Second Family For Established Nanny Share
The Family has been part of an established nanny share for over a year and the second family recently relocated to California for a job. They are now excited to find another family to complete their nanny share! Dual parent household with a spirited 2-year-old son. They are looking to create a nurturing and fun-filled environment for their little one and a new friend.
About the Parents:
Both parents work from home in nonprofit consulting, they work in the basement in their perspective offices & they don’t encourage the kids to come down throughout the day (the offices are downstairs behind a door and baby gate). As a family, they enjoy outdoor activities, visiting museums, hosting friends and family over for gatherings, and engaging in community events. They have a big fenced-in backyard with lots of fun toys for all seasons--a kiddie pool, sprinkler set, water balloons, bubble machines, and other toys, including a new backyard playset they just received as a gift for their child to explore. They love organizing playdates and outings that stimulate curiosity and creativity.
About Their Nanny: Claudia
Their incredible bilingual (Spanish speaking) nanny has been with them for a year and is a vital part of their family. At 30 years old, Claudia brings a wealth of experience, having worked in childcare for over a decade. She is nurturing, patient, and dedicated to gentle parenting. Claudia also has an 11-year-old daughter, Jade, who occasionally joins the fun, adding an extra layer of playfulness and creativity to the mix. She plays a great mother’s helper role and has recently started teaching the kids sign language! On any given day, Claudia can be found taking the children in her care to one of Denver’s many museums, libraries, or playgrounds--she supports their development and exploration in all that she does.
Nanny Share Details:
Location: The family is located in Aurora in Village East (near the Costco on Havana), and are open to families from nearby neighborhoods, such as Lowry (a quick 12-minute drive), park hill, etc.
Pay Rate: $16 per family for the share; $24/hour for solo care.
Schedule: Care is needed from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with flexibility for an earlier start or later end if needed. Ideally, they are looking for another family that can participate 4-5 days a week.
Hosting: The Family typically host and have a comfortable setup with a spare bedroom and playroom, pack n play & slumperpod for sleeping, second monitor, and extra sound machine. Claudia uses a big wagon that fits two to transport the kids around. They are open to alternating hosting with the other family, if desired.
Benefits: Right now they offer Claudia 12 days of PTO, gas reimbursement, paid holidays (with the option to work for double-time), state mandated sick time (1 hour for every 30 hours worked), & they pay her on a payroll. They really value her and want to continue to offer all of this, so a new family would need to be on the same page.
Parenting Style:
The Family embraces a gentle parenting approach, prioritizing communication and emotional intelligence. They appreciate Claudia's expertise in Montessori principles and her ability to connect with their child at his level. They value flexibility and open communication, ensuring a collaborative and harmonious nanny share.
What They’re Looking For:
The Family is eager to connect with a family that shares their values of open communication, flexibility, and a commitment to nurturing young children. They are especially interested in families who appreciate gentle parenting and can embrace Claudia’s bilingual (Spanish/English) approach.
Other Information:
The family has a small, friendly Maltese/Chihuahua dog who spends most of his time downstairs with the parents or relaxing, but a family who has a dog allergy would not be a good fit. The Family is Jewish (they do not keep kosher and are not religious, but there will be books around, decorations up for Hanukkah, etc). The family is looking for another Family who will be open and welcoming of any differences in culture between the two households, supporting the children to learn from and celebrate one another’s differences. They are also very progressive - they have a pride flag displayed outside their home, are queer friendly, and proudly display a Black Lives Matter sign in their front window. The other Family should be comfortable with and accepting of these values.
If you're a family looking to create a joyful, engaging, and supportive environment for your child while partnering with an experienced nanny, the Family would love to hear from you!
