We suggest starting your search 6 - 8 weeks before you’re wanting someone to start. We want to find you the perfect match! The process can be shorter or longer depending on how responsive you are and the quality of candidates available when you’re looking.

When you’re looking for a career nanny that is working for you full time, this is their main source of income. Think about how much money you need to make to have the life that you want to live, nannies need to have a dependable source of income as well. Many of our career nannies are college educated, and in addition have taken a ton of courses to further their education to ensure they can be the perfect nanny to you! There are many forms of child care available and having a nanny that comes to your house and is solely taking care of your family, is a luxury, and should be treated as such.
-
I wish that there was an ideal child care situation for every family and every nanny, but there just isn’t. I won’t work with families that I know I won’t be able to find help for, because this sets us both up for failure. This doesn’t mean that there is something wrong with what you are looking for, there is probably your perfect person / situation out there that I am hoping you will find, but it just means that I don’t think I can provide that solution for you. I am happy to discuss in detail with any families that I turn down, as to why i’m doing so, and any other resources that I may have to help them in their search.

This is dependent on a case by case basis! This is a great thing to have added into your working contract, and something that we can most definitely help you with. In addition to childcare, some nannies may - keep the children areas organized / tidy, light housekeeping, running errands, basic meal prep, cleaning / folding children’s laundry. If your position is needing more of a focus around the ‘errands, assisting, laundry’ you are probably looking for more of a ‘family assistant’ type person. We can help you figure this out and craft your ideal job description to find the perfect candidate!

We find nanny candidates through personal referrals, our extended nanny network, local college education department graduates, parenting groups, word of mouth, and a wide variety of other resources. We actively recruit for every job position that we have. Every candidate that we move forward with has 2 interviews with the agency, we check at least 3 personal references, do a thorough social media check, and require a handcrafted resume. Once you’ve extended an offer, we will run a thorough background check, for things such as - criminal background investigation, DMV driving record, social security number verification, sex offender registry, civil restraining orders, national wants and warrants, education verification (optional).
-
We hope that this never happens! We try to do a thorough placement process, so things are perfect the first time. But we also understand introducing a new caretaker to your children can be stressful for all parties involved. That’s why we stay in touch after placement to provide guidance as needed on how to maintain a good relationship with your new employee. Often, employer/nanny concerns can be resolved with communication and counseling. On the rare case that it just isn’t working out, we have a 90 day replacement policy. If during these 90 days, you need help with a new placement, we will do that completely free of charge.
-
As of right now, we do not. Maybe eventually this will be something that we can help with, because I know that there is a need for it, it’s just extremely hard to find a great career nanny that is willing to work part time. Most of the time they are having to piece 2 part time gigs together and that leads to a lot of pulling in different directions.
-
We charge $500 to get your search started! This takes a lot of time and effort from our end and we want to make sure that you are serious about finding a placement. Once you’ve extended an offer, our placement fee is $3,000, which must be paid at least 5 days before the nannies first day of work. Most agencies use a % of the nannies year salary as a placement fee, and most of time this ends up being at least $5,000 - we are trying to save you money by having a flat rate fee.
-
We recommend employers put themselves in the shoes of an employee when making these decisions. Specific benefits vary depending on the nanny’s needs and their specific placement. Common benefits include:
● paid vacation and sick time
● holiday pay
● medical, dental, and/or vision insurance coverage or healthcare stipend
● contribution to nanny’s auto insurance plan
● gas mileage reimbursement
● meals while working
● cell phone reimbursement
● 401K contribution
● Gym membership
We offer guidance on how to craft your wage and benefits package.

Your family will be the nanny’s employer, so you’re responsible for tax withholding. A nanny cannot be a 1099 independent contractor. There are many great companies that make this process super easy, and work with nannies specifically. We are happy to refer you to one!
